Here in the US, it's rare to see an M6 (or any other BMW with more than an I6). The ones that do get bought are often wrapped in some weird color (though, often pleasing colors), but just lowered, and puddle around. Just boring to me. Now that the 328d Wagon is available, I'll admit I'm interested in the cars again, but very few of them. BMW just never really appealed to me outside of a select few cars.
Then you have Corvettes here, and Corvette owners barely know anything about their cars, and hardly ever talk to each other. There are owners here and there that really do know their cars well, but for the most part, Corvette meets are a lot like BMW meets to me. A bunch of people comparing how original their cars are, but if something is broken, it's a pair of phone calls, one to BMW, the other to a mechanic. Boring to me....

You should come to a car meet here in Norway then, we've got everything from rear engined skodas to 4wd monsters with 1400bhp. You'll perhaps see a VW Beetle with a wankel engine, or a bmw E30 with a Twin Turbo V12. We've got old Opel Kadetts with 400bhp engines and VW Golfs with perhaps 1000bhp. :)

Norway and New Zealand are both very high on the list of places I want to visit to experience car cultures.
Both are incredibly unique, and have some absolutely insane things.

7.70 IT'S A NEW WORLD RECORD!... Sorry I can't tell you more, I wasn't there.

:) NZ is a place I'd like to visit. I guess we're both "insane" when it comes to cars. We never know how/when to stop :P

How do you pronouce that? Is it Norwegian
![]() 10/20/2014 at 17:50 |

It's Norwegian indeed. I'll hazzard a guess and say it was the fastest time recorded with a six cylinder engine at the time. I can't tell you how you pronounce it without being on skype or something :)

My personal garage is 20 cylinders and roughly 750HP. Plenty of fun every day of the week. I'd love to have something with stupid amounts of horsepower, but at the same time, I do enjoy having things that are streetable. I can't really see myself owning a track only car. I can understand it, but the ability to transition one car to both is far more fun to me.
Not unlike the ridiculously insane things Larry Larson builds, I just don't need that kind of power. I'm plenty happy with a few hundred.

My personal garage now is 20 cylinders as well. 3 four cylinder cars and one V8.. As for HP... well... uhm.... a total of 340bhp :P
Edit: Ford Fiesta with 60bhp, MB W123 Diesel with somehwere close to 60bhp, VW Beetle ('69) 50bhp(not at all standard), and a slightly modified Rover SD1 with close to 170bhp..
